Will these graphics cards work?
Since the computer I use to play Guild Wars broke down, I am getting a new one. Off of the dell website these are the four graphics cards you have to choose from. I know that the nVidia Geforce cards have caused a lot of problems. Even though none of the ones listed on the Guild Wars website for terrain issues are a choice here, I would like to know which of these graphics cards will work with GW, and ultimately, which would be the best one. Thanks in advance.
128MB PCI Express™ x16 (DVI/VGA/TV-out) ATI Radeon X300 SE HyperMemory
256MB nVidia Geforce 7300LE TurboCache
512MB nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX
256MB nVidia GeForce 7900 GS
(If you need any more information about the computer I'll try to help as best I can.)

All of these can run gw.
I own an Nvidia 7600 Ultra and and zero grpahic cards issues with GuildWars. Most issues with Nvidia cards are realted to the Nvidia Geforce FX 5 series cards that I've seen, not the latter 6 or 7 series.
I would go with the 512 mb Geforce 7900 GTX for more windows Vistia future proofing.

They can all run GW just fine, but the 7900 GTX is the highest-end there. Good for future-proofing as previously stated.
Just one thing though. If Dell messes up your order...be prepared to have a lot of grief canceling/fixing it. My father recently ordered a computer from them with a Pentium D 940 and it said they were sending an 820. He called them, tried to cancel the order, never got any confirmation.

I would not get the most expensive Vid Card. I would get the 2nd to the most expensive vid card, especially if you are purchasing it from Dell.

Okay, good. I didn't want to pay for the $500 GTX. :P
One more question then, how many games use physic accelerators? Is it a waste to pay $250 for an AGEIA® PhysX® physics accelerator if I'll be buying some of the newer released computer games?

Agree - very few games actually use this tech. I would not touch it untill you see many many games supporting this feature. The game has to be written to actually use this card to give you any benfit.
